me

the road towards mastery is not an easy one to take. the map looks simple but is the hardest to navigate and is loaded with mental traps and physiological pitfalls. no matter how much effort is exerted there is no guarantee of success. in fact it is more likely that the majority of people are unable to discover their inner magic because mastery is not grounded in effort. mastery is a significantly mightier beast. it is the struggle to dig deep into the darkest parts of our soul and find the courage to explore new and creative aspects of ourselves that we desperately need to craft. only then will people take the necessary leap into elite performance. the performance paradigm is dominated by effort which continually reinforces more effort. so what separates the elite performers from the rest is their perfect blend of courage, vulnerability and creativity which induces performance synergy and flow. the paradox is eloquently explained by the philosophy of the tao ‘mushin no shin’*

*the mind without mind - a mind that is not fixed but rather flows effortlessly. the preparation of the mind and body to choose creatively in every situation by being open to all things. this enables the mind and body to respond with speed, with accuracy and with focused aggression.
